Pages 1 and 2, Oct. 1806-Deposition of Nicholas Hart to establish land of Wm. Walker, located on River Creek, deposeth: He knew River Creek in Aug., 1782, when on his march with Indians to Bryant's Station, at which time he was their prisoner. Jacob Stucker deposeth in same: In July or Aug. he crossed said creek just above where Wm. Beachamp "now lives" and was then informed by Alexander Mac Lean it was called River Creek. Samuel VanHook, 73 years of age the fifteenth of next month, deposeth in same: He was at Bryant's Station when the Commission sat at that place in the winter of 1779 or 1780.

Page 2, Oct. 1806-Deposition of John Morrison states he was acquainted with River Creek in yr. 1780 but did not know of name until 1781 or 1782. Question: Did not the expedition under Clark cross this creek near the mouth where Byrd's road crossed said creek in fall of 1782? Answer: Yes. Deponent states before 1782 he heard the following persons call it River Creek: Jas. McBride (decd. long since), and thinks Jno. Clarke, decd., Bartlett Searcy, decd., Jacob Stucker and Alexander McClain.

Page 3, Oct., 1806-Abraham Venable states he was applied to by Wm. Kennedy to survey Wm. Walker's entry as assignee of Merry Walker.

Pages 26, 27, 28, May, 1806-Deposition of Samuel VanHook to establish land of Thos. Moore and Benj. Johnson on Mill Creek, entered 1780, conflicting with McFall's claim, deposeth: Came back from being a prisoner in Spring of '79, settled at Ruddle's Station, and in year '80 after Christmas moved to Martin's Station and taken prisoner in June following, and returned in four or five years. Wm. McCune deposeth: Saw land in question in company with John Hinkson while living at Ruddle's Station in year 1780. Wm. Anderson became familiar with place in year 1785. Thos. Ravencroft saw same in year 1785.
